
Pop icon and Baby-G brand ambassador Ke$ha has teamed up with Baby-G to release Baby-G x Ke$ha BGA-160KS-7B. The watch features a custom Ke$ha logo to the dial, backlight, caseback and band, crisp white band and bezel, gold dial and of course custom packaging.
Baby-G is paying it forward by supporting a Humane Society International initiative close to the star’s heart, their Street Dog Welfare Program. The watch was launched in December 2012 at a retail of USD$130.

Flashback Friday: The First Digital Compass G-Shock - the DW-9800 WADEMAN

Once part of the Master of G Line of G-Shocks, the now discontinued DW-8900 WADEMAN was launched in April 1999. It was the first G-Shock equipped with a magnetic direction sensor (digital compass), and has a temperature sensor as well that measures a range of -10 ~ 60 ℃.
The Wademan is a chunky watch, and is popular among collectors due to its scarcity. Costing JPY24,000 (USD235) when launched, asking price for mint specimens go as high as USD400+.

Throwback Thursday: Yokahama F.Marinos x G-Shock DW-5600
To celebrate its 20th Anniversary, Japanese football club Yokahama F.Marinos looked to G-Shock to produce the F.Marinos x G-Shock DW-5600. The F.Marinos are one of the most successful teams in Japanese professional football having won the J-League three times and with notable players including Shunsuke Nakamura and Julio Salinas.
The F.Marinos x G-Shock DW-5600 features the club's tricolour motif to the dial, gold F.Marinos text to the dial, a YFM EL, white band and bezel, custom caseback and packaging. This collaboration went on sale last week and is limited to 1000 pieces.
The F.Marinos x G-Shock DW-5600 was released in May 2012 to the tune of JPY15,750 (USD 154).
